Round-up: Becca Mineral Blushes Overview & Thoughts

Becca Mineral Blushes

Becca Mineral Blush ($32.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a really lovely formula as far as blush goes, where its biggest downfall is that they’re marketed as buildable coverage, while almost all of the shades are intensely pigmented with little product necessary, though of course you can use a light touch or very feathery brush for sheerer coverage as you can with most pigmented blushes. For someone who likes sheerer blush, these are less suitable, but for someone who likes their blush rather pigmented with a luminous sheen, it’s well-worth checking out the range. The texture is blendable, smooth, and the finish is really what makes them shine (ha, ha, pun intended).

Copper is a great color for summer and fall (though surely you can wear it any time of the year!), but it has a brightness and often comes in a more shimmery finish so it gives off that summer vibe while the reddish tones read autumnal as well. Here are a few summer favorites:

  1. Sephora Sly as a Fox — a matte copper eyeliner
  2. MAC Coppering — a shimmery, copper eyeshadow
  3. Becca Songbird — a luminous coppery blush
  4. NYX Wrath — a metallic copper lipstick
  5. Make Up For Ever D708 Pinky Copper — a lighter copper eyeshadow

Becca Backlight Primer Filter
Becca Backlight Primer Filter

Becca Backlight Primer Filter ($38.00 for 1.0 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a “makeup primer to help blur imperfections and impart a radiant glow.” It’s a sheer, golden beige with a luminous sheen and fine pearl. Burberry Nude Radiance No. 01 (P, $48.00) is darker, warmer (95% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $41.00) is warmer (95% similar). NARS 413 BLKR (P, $30.00) is more shimmery, warmer (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

I’ve been testing this for a few days under various liquid foundations, and it has worked well with light, medium, and full coverage foundations. Even with medium-to-full coverage, the added luminosity of the primer comes through slightly. It can be applied to bare skin for an all-over dewy finish or used under your base of choice. For the photos in the post, I applied it on bare skin and applied a semi-matte finish foundation on top (Guerlain Parure Gold, discontinued) as well as showed it set with loose powder. It extends the wear of my foundation by an hour or so and gives the skin a soft glow while diffusing the skin’s natural texture. I also noticed it helped my foundation spread more smoothly across my face during application. I think the texture of this is thicker, more like a light cream, and less water-like compared to Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors, and it does seem to do more for longevity, but the visual effect is more similar. On my skin tone, when I wear it alone over bare skin, it does noticeably lighten my overall complexion by half a shade. There is a moderately strong, soapy perfume-like scent to it when initially applied, but I don’t notice it much during wear.

Becca Afterglow Palette
Becca Afterglow Palette

Becca Afterglow Palette ($39.50 for 0.26 oz.) is a cheek palette that features three of the brand’s pressed highlighters and two of their blushes. I think it’s a great concept, and it is a nice way to try their famous cheek products, but I do wish the pans were on the larger side; they are the size of your typical eyeshadow (the palette itself is the same size as Becca’s eyeshadow palettes), like MAC, Urban Decay, etc. There is a little space between each pan, so it is possible to use some blush brushes without issue, but it’s something to consider if you tend to use medium or large-sized blush brushes. If you use a highlight brush to apply the pressed highlighters, I think you’ll be just fine, though. The quality of the palette’s contents is fairly comparable to the standalone versions, but I noticed all five seemed ever-so-slightly drier here, as if there was less binder, which actually made the highlighters more forgiving on the skin (Becca’s highlighters have a fine line between gorgeous glow and pore-emphasizing). This palette contains $20.36 worth of highlighters and $17.92 worth of blush for a total value of $38.28, so you’re paying just over a $1 for the “for the price of about one, I get to try five” point of view. (Becca’s highlighters cost $38 each, while the blush comes in at $32 a pop). This particular palette is VERY warm-toned, and I wish they had done a cooler-toned option or else mixed up the shades more to make it more versatile across skin tones. If I could have chosen the shades (assuming only one edition), I would have gone for Pearl (yes, creating a pressed version just for the palette!), Moonstone, Blushed Copper, Hyacinth, and Nightingale–which is really proof that Becca needs to consider adding cooler and more neutral-toned shades into the ranges.

Moonstone is a pale, golden champagne with warm undertones and a luminous shimmer. It had good color payoff with a soft, blendable texture–it was a little drier than my full-size version–that gives the skin a lovely glow. It wore well for eight hours. Illamasqua Aurora (P, $24.00) is cooler (95% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $41.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $38.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Moodlight (Daylight) (LE) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Rose Gold is a soft, light-medium copper with warm undertones and a frosted, golden shimmer-sheen finish. It had good pigmentation with a lightly dusty, but blendable, consistency that sat well on the skin. The shimmer seemed a little larger in the palette than in my full-size version. The color started to fade after eight hours of wear. NARS Jubilation (Right) (P) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (95% similar). Kevyn Aucoin Starlight (P, $44.00) is lighter (90% similar). Becca Guava/Moonstone (P, $27.00) is more shimmery, lighter (95% similar). Becca Rose Gold (P, $38.00) is glossier (95% similar). Colour Pop Parasol (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Urban Decay Glint (LE) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Becca Songbird (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Bobbi Brown Rose Gold (LE, $46.00) is darker, more muted (85% similar). Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $28.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). Revlon Peach Light (P, $12.99) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). MAC Summer Opal (LE, $26.00) is lighter (85% similar). MAC Soft & Gentle (P, $32.00) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar). Le Metier de Beaute Whisper (P, $30.00) is lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Topaz is a medium, bronzy brown with warm, yellow undertones and a strong, golden sheen. The version in the palette is noticeably lighter–more subdued–than my standalone compact, which was surprising. The consistency was still quite smooth, blendable, and illuminating on the skin, though, and it didn’t seem less pigmented, just lighter in overall color–not as an intense. Unless applying more heavily, they still looked quite similar applied. This shade wore for eight hours on me. Becca Topaz (P, $38.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Disney by Sephora Golden Sands (LE, $55.00) is darker (95% similar). Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow (LE, $45.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). MAC Desert Roadtrip (LE, $21.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Estee Lauder Topaz Chameleon (LE, $42.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Glorify (LE, $30.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Giorgio Armani No. 14 (P, $62.00) is less shimmery, lighter, less pigmented (90% similar). Giorgio Armani No. 03 (P, $62.00) is less pigmented (90% similar). Becca Topaz (P, $41.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Too Faced Sun Bunny #1 (P) is darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Wild Honey is a soft, medium brown with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft, smooth texture–it seemed more pigmented than my individual (though Becca’s blushes are supposed to be buildable, actually)! This shade wore well for eight hours on me. Urban Decay Kinky (P, $26.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Bronzer (LE, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Makeup Geek Infatuation (P, $9.99) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). Becca Guava/Moonstone (P, $27.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Becca Sweet Pea (P, $32.00) is darker, cooler (80% similar). Urban Decay Video (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (80% similar). NARS Craving (Right) (P) is darker (80% similar). Tarte Social Butterfly (LE, $26.00) is darker, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Flowerchild is a pop of light-medium pink with warm undertones and fine, golden shimmer. It was very similar in color to the standalone version I have, though the texture of the shade in the palette is just a smidgen drier. The blush wore for eight hours before fading. MAC Springsheen (P, $21.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). Too Faced Peachy Keen (LE) is more shimmery (95% similar). Guerlain Peach Boy #2 (P) is darker (95% similar). Guerlain Ors et Merveilles #8 (LE) is less shimmery (95% similar). NARS Orgasm (P, $30.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). Benefit CORALista (P, $28.00) is lighter (95% similar). Guerlain Pink Me Up (P, $52.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Who's Your Poppy (LE) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Love Glow (P, $40.00) is cooler (90% similar). Benefit Bella Bamba (Palette) (P, $28.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Becca Champagne Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector Palette
Becca Champagne Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector Palette

Becca Champagne Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector Palette ($34.00 for 0.26 oz.) includes three highlighters in white, peach-orange, and copper. The latter two have been released in full-sized, individual compacts previously, but this is the first time for the white highlighter (Pearl). If you like Becca’s highlighters, I don’t see why you wouldn’t like this palette, other than that you may already own two of the three shades. Like the Afterglow palette, the texture of the three powders seemed drier here, not quite as creamy or as finely-milled as the full-sized versions. It doesn’t seem to impact the overall appearance of them on the skin, and they’re still blendable and easy to apply. Becca’s highlighter formula is what I’d call a strong highlighter–intense, obvious, over-the-top–and a little goes a long way, so I recommend using a very feathery highlighting or fan brush to get a luminous sheen to avoid emphasizing pores.

Pearl is a pale, milky white with a frosted shimmer. The texture was fairly soft and smooth, but it felt a little dry–almost looser and not as dense as the full-sized pressed highlighters do. It had good pigmentation that could be blended out or built-up for a really high-shine sheen. The highlighter lasted for eight hours on me. Colour Pop Fanny Pack (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Becca Pearl (P, $38.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). NYX Ice Queen (P, $5.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). L'Oreal Ice (P, $12.99) is lighter, cooler (95% similar). Giorgio Armani Moonlight White #1 (LE) is less shimmery (90% similar). LORAC Shimmer Highlight (P) is less shimmery (90% similar). Chanel Delice (78) (LE, $45.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tarte Champagne Pink (LE) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Champagne Pop is a light-medium, golden orange with warm undertones and a frosted, almost metallic sheen. Again, the texture felt looser, a little dry, compared to the full-sized version I have from earlier this year. It doesn’t feel particularly dry (certainly not crumbly or stiff), but I think one of the more standout characteristics of Becca’s pressed highlighters is that creaminess, that richness, which I don’t quite get here. Luckily, it still applies easily, blends and diffuses on the skin, and lasted for eight hours without emphasizing pores. Becca Opal (P, $38.00) is darker (90% similar). Laura Geller Gilded Honey (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). NARS Frenzy (Left) (P) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). NARS Tribulation (LE, $30.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (90% similar). MAC Whisper of Gilt (LE, $30.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (90% similar). Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Becca Opal (P, $38.00) is darker (90% similar). Cle de Peau Sand Beige (13) (P, $55.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Sephora Collection Jubilant (21) (P, $15.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Oh, Darling! (LE, $30.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson (LE, $32.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). L'Oreal Golden (P, $12.99) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Anastasia So Hollywood (P, $28.00) is cooler (90% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $38.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $38.00) is lighter, brighter (80% similar). Sephora Collection Secretive (19) (P, $15.00) is less shimmery, darker, more muted (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Blushed Copper is a medium-dark, coppery brown with warm, reddish undertones and a frosted sheen. It was intensely pigmented with a soft, blendable consistency. This one is metallic enough that it emphasizes pores if I’m not careful with my application. I’m medium in complexion (MAC NC25-NC30), and it works as a highlighting blush on me, as it does yield visible color on my skin tone. If you’re fairer than I and aren’t sure how to use it, you can use it with a fan brush for even subtler warmth, or you can mix it with Pearl or Champagne Pop to lighten. Becca Rose Gold (P, $38.00) is lighter (90% similar). Becca Papaya/Topaz (P, $27.00) is more shimmery, warmer (95% similar). Becca Songbird (P, $32.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). MAC Pleasure Model (LE, $25.00) is warmer (90% similar). NARS Na Pali Coast (P, $39.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Stylish Me (LE, $21.00) is cooler (90% similar). LORAC Unapologetic (LE) is lighter (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury The Climax (P, $40.00) is lighter (90% similar). Becca Rose Gold (P, $41.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Chanel Canaille (89) (LE, $45.00) is less shimmery, brighter (90% similar). MAC Worldly Wealth (LE, $21.00) is warmer (90% similar). L'Oreal Rose (P, $12.99) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Illamasqua Supernatural (P, $24.00) is more shimmery, glossier (90% similar). NARS Fervor (Right) (P) is darker (90% similar). Anastasia Peach Nectar (P, $28.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Giorgio Armani No. 18 (P, $62.00) is brighter, less pigmented (85% similar). MAC Sweet As Cocoa (P, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Laura Mercier Indiscretion (LE, $42.00) is lighter (85% similar). Colour Pop Swift (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Sephora + Pantone Universe Marsala (LE, $25.00) is lighter (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. Becca Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed

Becca Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00 for 0.25 oz.) is described as a “soft luminescent white.” It’s a pale, cool-toned white with a frosted sheen. Becca Pearl (P, $38.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Colour Pop Fanny Pack (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). NYX Ice Queen (P, $5.00) is more shimmery (95% similar). L'Oreal Ice (P, $12.99) is lighter, cooler (95% similar). Giorgio Armani Moonlight White #1 (LE) is less shimmery (90% similar). LORAC Shimmer Highlight (P) is less shimmery (90% similar). Chanel Delice (78) (LE, $45.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tarte Champagne Pink (LE) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

I reviewed this previously when it was released in the Champagne Glow palette, but I had noticed (or felt) that the consistency of the powders in the palette was slightly drier compared to the permanent versions I had (of the existing two shades in the palette). I know that a lot of readers have been eagerly awaiting Pearl in powder form, so I figured I would check it out. I do think the standalone version is smoother, but the standalone version is also slightly more shimmery (just slightly, though!). The texture was still softer than the majority of the Pressed range, and worth noting, it is 0.25 oz. compared to the 0.28 oz. size of the other shades. It can emphasize pores if I am not careful with the application–the palette version was more forgiving in that aspect. On me, the highlighter wore for eight hours.

Becca Tigerlily Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush

Becca Tigerlily Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush ($34.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a medium orange with warm, red undertones and a gold, frosted finish. MAC Solar Ray (LE, $27.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). NARS Esoteric (LE, $30.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Warmth of Coral (LE, $27.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). NARS Frenzy (Right) (P) is cooler (90% similar). MAC Shape the Future (LE, $30.00) is darker (90% similar). Surratt Beauty Flamme (P, $32.00) is warmer (85% similar). NARS Luster (P, $30.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Colour Pop Tasty (DC, $8.00) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). MAC My Paradise (LE, $28.00) is darker (85% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Medium/Dark Glow (P) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

For summer, Becca has launched a six-shade line-up of blushes designed to have “just the right balance of color and light” that can be worn alone or “as a blush topper.” It seems like it’s somewhere between sheerer like a highlighter and more pigmented like a blush (hence why it can also be layered), which is the best I can surmise from their marketing (there’s a lot of use of subtle as well, which at least indicates, to me, that they’re not saying it’s ultra pigmented)–I definitely wish it was clearer, though. I noticed that layering is best with a very, very light hand and a feathery brush or else the original blush can get overshadowed, as the formula runs semi-opaque. Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Tigerlily had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage with a frosted shimmer-sheen finish. Applied and blended out, the result is softly glowing without being too glittery, but it has a moderate sheen. It didn’t emphasize pores for me, though. The texture was soft, lightly loose in the pan, and fairly dense. The color lasted for eight and a half hours before fading.

P.S. — I only have two of the six shades right now, as the other four are still coming soon/sold out at Sephora. They are available through Becca’s website as well.

I noticed that layering is best with a very, very light hand and a feathery brush or else the original blush can get overshadowed, as the formula runs semi-opaque. Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Snapdragon had semi-sheer to semi-opaque color payoff (the first time, it applied more semi-sheer, the second time more semi-opaque) that is buildable to mostly opaque coverage with two to three layers. The texture was soft, smooth, and finely-milled and was less shimmery than Tigerlily. It was easy to blend and apply to the skin, and the finish didn’t emphasize pores but still gave the skin a noticeable glow. The blush wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Becca Dahlia Shimmering Skin Perfector Blush ($34.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish plum with warm undertones and a frosted sheen. MAC Love Thing (P, $27.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NARS Soulshine #3 (LE, $30.00) is brighter (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Pink Glow #5 (LE, $55.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). I noticed that layering is best with a very, very light hand and a feathery brush or else the original blush can get overshadowed, as the formula runs semi-opaque. Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Dahlia was richly pigmented, where a little went a long way, and it would be incredibly hard to layer this over another product without it overwhelming whatever was under it. The texture was soft in the pan, but there was a dryness present that seemed to make it harder to blend out on the skin for me. Luckily, the finish didn’t emphasize pores that I could tell. All in all, the blush lasted for nine hours before breaking down.

Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Blushed Copper was released before as part of their regular highlighter range and again in the Champagne Glow palette. The color is exactly the same here, but it seemed slightly less pigmented and perhaps, a little less metallic. The blush version had good color payoff with a soft, lightly dry but blendable texture that emphasized pores just slightly on me. It lasted for eight and a half hours on me.

Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Foxglove had mostly opaque color payoff with a soft, slightly loose consistency that was very easily blended out, but it also had a tendency to sheer out, which made it more consistent with the marketing of the formula. The finish didn’t seem to emphasize my pores or the natural texture of my skin. On my normal-to-dry skin, it lasted for eight hours before fading noticeably.

I noticed that layering is best with a very, very light hand and a feathery brush or else the original blush can get overshadowed, as the formula runs semi-opaque. Much like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, a little can go a long way. Camellia had rich color payoff with a lightly dry, dusty texture that was soft and blendable, but it was harder to control so I found a smaller, more precise blush brush easier to avoid going overboard in application. It was just shy of emphasizing pores on me, and I think if I had layered it a bit more, I would have found it emphasizing. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading.

Becca Champagne Collection Face Palette
Becca Champagne Collection Face Palette

Becca Champagne Collection Face Palette ($52.00 for 0.72 oz.) includes two highlighters and three blushes. Each highlighter contains 0.19 oz. of product ($51.57 worth), each Mineral blush contains 0.12 oz. ($38.40 worth), and the Luminous blush contains 0.10 oz. ($16.19 worth)–the palette has a total value of $106.16 or $10.40 per shade. I think there’s plenty of each product, and the size of each pan (even the smaller blushes) is appropriate and can be used with a slew of blush and highlighter brushes. Like other Becca palettes, the texture is noticeably drier and looser in the pan for the highlighters, compared to the standalone formula, which is something I notice more by feel and initial application, but it doesn’t seem to change the color, tone, or the way the product looks applied and blended on the skin (this is my only hesitation about the palette). Worth noting, Becca called out the Mineral Blushes as matte, but their interpretation of matte is more like true satin–there is a sheen to the skin but is not overly shimmery, and secondly, Becca seems to market their blushes as more buildable/medium in coverage but all three are very pigmented–this is, as a result, reflected in the rating but if you like your blushes pigmented, you should mentally bump up the ratings.

Overall, it is a nice cheek palette, though it leans very warm and coral-toned with three of five having higher-sheen finishes so it’ll be best for those who like their golds and pink-corals and more of a metallic finish than a subtle highlight. I think making either Rose Spritz or Pamplemousse more of a cooler-toned shade would have helped make the palette more versatile (maybe a mauve or plum). The packaging is heft, very solid, and some might even find it a little too heavy to carry in an everyday bag. It clicks closed, and the lid stays up, so it is usable–probably some of the nicest cheek/face palette packaging released in awhile. For me, personally, it’s very easy to wear on my coloring, and as they’re all blendable, they are easy to use as well. I could definitely see traveling with this one.

Champagne Pop is a pop of warm, peachy-orange gold with a strong, frosted finish. It is definitely the type of highlighter where a little goes a long way, and I think there is a small learning curve when using Becca’shighlights–a lighter, feathery brush and a lighter hand, as they are very pigmented, is recipe for great results. The texture felt a little drier and looser in the pan (to the touch) compared to my standalone version, which I found true in the Champagne Glow trio and the Afterglow palette. The standalone is just creamier and smoother; it feels more luxurious, but oddly, they really perform the same. They look the same applied, the color is within range between versions (especially once blended out/applied but the version in this palette seemed yellower to me but hard to distinguish the difference once applied to the face. It lasted eight hours on me. NARS Frenzy (Left) (P) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). Laura Geller Gilded Honey (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Whisper of Gilt (LE, $30.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (90% similar). Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment (Original) (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Sephora Jubilant (21) (P, $15.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson (LE, $32.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Becca Prosecco Pop (LE, $38.00) is brighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Faintly Fabulous (LE, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Becca Opal (P, $38.00) is darker (90% similar). Cle de Peau Sand Beige (13) (P, $55.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). L'Oreal Golden (P, $12.99) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Surratt Beauty Coup de Genie (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $38.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Becca Moonstone (P, $38.00) is lighter, brighter (80% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Prosecco Pop is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted sheen. Side-by-side, it’s darker and has a stronger yellow tone (compared to the more peach-orange of Champagne Pop), and then blended out, it’s marginally darker and doesn’t have as strong of a white base to it. I feel like if it was a bit darker and deeper (a little more brown in it), it would be more contrasting next to Champagne Pop, but they are more similar than they are different. The texture was very blendable, though a little dry to the touch, and did emphasize pores slightly, even when I used a lighter hand/less dense brush (what I normally use with Becca’s highlighters, as they are very pigmented!). The color lasted for eight hours on me. Laura Mercier Addiction (P, $44.00) is darker (95% similar). Looxi Beauty Luxe (P, $7.50) is more shimmery (95% similar). Illamasqua Rush (P) is warmer (90% similar). Chanel Routes des Indes de Chanel Illuminating Powder (LE, $65.00) is cooler (90% similar). Anastasia Dripping in Gold (LE) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Becca Champagne Gold (LE, $38.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Laura Geller Gilded Honey (P, $24.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). MAC Oh, Darling! (LE, $30.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Anastasia So Hollywood (P, $28.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). NARS Jubilation (Left) (P) is darker (85% similar). Becca Champagne Pop (P, $38.00) is more muted, cooler (90% similar). L'Oreal Golden (P, $12.99) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). bareMinerals The Shining Moment (LE, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Looxi Beauty Centerfold (P, $7.50) is darker (85% similar). Colour Pop Electric Slide (LE, $8.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Anastasia Bubbly (LE) is darker, more muted, cooler (80% similar). Rose Spritz is a bright pop of warmer pink with strong, golden frost that translated into a near-metallic sheen. I would say is too pink to be even a pink-coral but if you have very strong yellow undertones, it may end up looking more coral than pink once applied and blended out! The texture was blendable and fairly smooth, not quite as “dry” as the highlighters but not quite as creamy or as finely-milled as the standalone formula. It had rich pigmentation, which isn’t how the formula is billed (see more about that in my Luminous Blush reviews), so if you wanted a sheerer, buildable formula that really can be used as a “blush topper,” this might be a miss for you. On the other hand, if you like your blush very pigmented, this will be right up your alley. This shade wore well for eight hours and just stopped short of emphasizing pores on me. Laura Geller Fruit Punch (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Benefit Bella Bamba (Palette) (P, $28.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Becca Flowerchild (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). KIKO 103 Golden Peach (P, $12.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Laura Geller Peach Delight (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NYX Intuition (P, $6.50) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). By Terry Light & Tan Vibes #2 (LE) is warmer (90% similar). Sleek MakeUP Rose Gold (P, $6.99) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). IT Cosmetics Pretty in Peony (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, darker, brighter (80% similar). Zoeva PK010 (P) is less shimmery, lighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Amaretto is a slightly muted, medium-dark rosy brown with warm undertones and a smidgen of fine, gold pearl. It had good color payoff with a soft, smooth, and blendable texture–no dryness present at all–that was easy to apply and use. As it wasn’t as shimmery as the prior three shades, there was no issue about pores or being more light-handed. The problem is that Becca, for reasons I don’t understand, says it’s a buildable formula, when it’s quite pigmented. The color lasted for eight hours on me before fading. KIKO 106 Beige Rose (P, $12.00) is warmer (90% similar). Chanel Jersey (80) (P, $45.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). MAC Cheek Pollen (LE, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Burberry Earthy (P, $42.00) is less shimmery, darker, more muted (85% similar). Kevyn Aucoin Natura (P, $37.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Sweet As Cocoa (P, $22.00) is darker, warmer (80% similar). Chanel Canaille (89) (LE, $45.00) is darker, warmer (80% similar). Colour Pop Swift (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Pamplemousse is a bright pop of medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had very rich color payoff–a little went a long way–and I highly recommend using a light hand with this. The texture was smooth and blendable, but it had a slightly thinner feel to it compared to the other four shades in the palette. Again, the formula is supposed to have buildable coverage, but it is rather pigmented, so I think that if you prefer subtler, sheerer color, you are out of luck, and if you happen to prefer your blushes more pigmented, then it’s not a deal-breaker at all–it’s just contrary to what the brand claims. This shade lasted for eight and a half hours on me. Makeup Geek Love Affair (P, $9.99) is cooler (95% similar). Milani Lady Rouge (06) (LE, $7.99) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). NYX Peach (P, $5.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Red Water Lily (LE, $40.00) is cooler (90% similar). Burberry Coral Pink (P, $42.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Hipness (LE, $22.00) is lighter (85% similar). MAC Fleur Power (P, $22.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). Chanel Vibration (270) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Becca Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid

Becca Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid ($38.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a light-medium, yellow gold with warm undertones and fine pearl. Too Faced Warm Glow (Left) (P) is more shimmery, darker (95% similar). Too Faced Flush (LE) is more shimmery, darker (95% similar). Tarte Sunlight (P) is more shimmery (95% similar). Giorgio Armani No. 02 (P, $62.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Liquid formula is described as a “soft focus, healthy glow” liquid highlighter. The consistency of the Liquid is very thin, more water-like and spreadable, and it’s the kind of product that can be mixed in with primer, moisturizer, foundation, or patted over your foundation. It’s incredibly subtle when patted on the skin but doesn’t provide much color–it might provide a little warmth on very fair skin tones. When I wore it over bare skin as a highlighter, it lasted for just over seven and a half hours. It didn’t seem to impact the longevity of my foundation when mixed with it.
